Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Unprofitable Traders Club ("UTC", "we") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. The data controller responsible for your personal data is Unprofitable Traders Club, contactable at support@unprofitabletradersclub.com. By using the Service you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

• Account information — your email address and a password (stored securely and hashed by our authentication provider), plus any display name or handle you choose.
• Content you create — the prop accounts, trades, journal notes, payouts and expenses you enter into the app. This is your data.
• Profile settings — preferences such as timezone, theme and an optional avatar image you upload.
• Technical/diagnostic data — if an error occurs, we may log the error message, page URL and browser type to help us fix bugs.

We do not collect your brokerage credentials, and we never ask you to enter card numbers or banking details into the app.

2. How we use it

• To provide the Service — store your accounts and trades, compute rule/compliance status, and sync your data across devices.
• To operate features like the leaderboard, which shows only aggregate stats (and only if you haven't opted out) — never your individual trades.
• To diagnose and fix problems, and to keep the Service secure.
• To communicate with you about your account or important changes.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not show third-party advertising.

3. Where your data lives

Your account and content are stored with our cloud database and authentication provider (Supabase) and served via our hosting provider. Access to your rows is restricted to your account through row-level security. Some data is also cached locally in your browser so the app works smoothly.

4. Cookies and local storage

We use essential browser storage (such as local storage and an authentication token) to keep you signed in and remember preferences. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

5. Third parties

We share data only with the service providers needed to run UTC:

• Supabase — our cloud database and authentication provider, which stores your account and content.
• Paddle (Paddle.com Market Limited) — our Merchant of Record and payment processor. When you buy a paid plan, Paddle collects and processes your payment and billing details under its own privacy policy. We do not receive or store your full card number.
• Our hosting provider, which serves the website.

These providers process data on our behalf (or, in Paddle's case, as the seller of record) under their own security and privacy commitments. Some of them may process data outside the EU/EEA under appropriate safeguards. We do not sell your personal data, and we may disclose information only if required by law.

6. Legal basis for processing

Where the GDPR applies, we process your personal data to perform our contract with you (providing the Service), on the basis of our legitimate interests (keeping the Service secure and improving it), to comply with legal obligations (such as tax and accounting), and, where required, with your consent.

7. Data retention and your rights

We keep your data while your account is active. You can edit or delete your accounts, trades and other content at any time inside the app, and you may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, correct, export (portability), restrict or object to processing, erase your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. If you are in the EU/EEA and believe we have not handled your data properly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority — in the Netherlands, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and row-level access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you of significant incidents where required.

9. Children

The Service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by updating the date above.
